Katrina Kaif likely to enter Tamil filmdom


Vikram will soon be doing a film with Susi Ganesan, according to sources. Kalaipuli Thanu will produce this yet to be titled flick.

Now, the hot news doing rounds in Kollywood is that Katrina, the Bollywood actor, has agreed to act in the film. Katrina has starred in another South Indian film earlier. It was Malleshwari, in Telugu, in which she was paired opposite Venkatesh.

There are many fans for Katrina Kaif down South and if this news indeed turns out to be true, well, the fans are sure to rejoice.

Baba Arts to make Tamil Movies

Mumbai-based Baba Arts Films, which produced hits like 'Ishq' and 'Pyar To Hona Hi Tha', now plans to make Tamil and Telugu movies and looks to raise Rs 100 crore through foreign currency convertibles and preferential shares.

"We plan to raise Rs 100 crore (Rs 60 crore via FCCB and Rs 40 crore via preferential share) post-March. Also, we plan to enter the southern market of Tamil Nadu with our maiden venture," Baba Arts managing director Gordhan Tanwani said.

Malavika to wed in 2007


Malavika is the latest to join the long list of actresses getting married in Kollywood now. Currently a busy actress playing heroine to Vijayakanth in Sabari, S J Suryah in Thirumagan and Vyaparai and with Jeevan in Naan Avanillai, Malavika will marry an industrialist Sudheesh early next year.

The two got engaged in a simple function in Mumbai a couple of days ago.

Confirming the news, Malavika said that it is an arranged marriage being done with the consent of elders.

Malavika had acted in several movies including Unnai Thedi, Rojavanam, Pooparika Varugiroom and also appeared in item numbers.

Recently she appeared in a prominent role recent films including Rajnikanth’s Chandramukhi and Susi Ganesan's Thiruttu Payalae.
