Tamil Actress Srividya in Hospital - Advanced stage of Cancer

With her excellent portrayals in films like ‘Sollathaan Ninaikkiren’ and ‘Apoorva Raagangal,’ she made a niche for herself as a versatile actress.

Srividya stopped acting in Tamil films a few years ago after she moved to Kerala and started acting in Malayalam serials. Soon she stopped acting in those serials too and her lively face was always covered with anxiety.

Not finding happiness in married life, she has been living alone for a few years now and slowly her circle of friends and acquaintances has been shrinking. The reason for her bowing out of public life seems to be linked with the discovery that she is suffering from the terrible cancer ailment.

She has now been admitted to a private hospital in Kerala in serious condition.

Sarath Kumar's Deepavali release `Thalaimagan', which is his 100th film and which is being directed by the actor himself, is about a journalist's work.

Produced by his wife, Radhika (for Radaan media), Sarath Kumar says `Thalaimagan' will certainly be a top attraction this festive season.

"I started my life as a newspaper distributing boy to various houses in Bangalore, and then I became a journalist. So, I took it up as a theme and looked at it in a different way. I am happy the film has come out in an interesting way. I am also happy that director Cheran who wanted to be associated with the project has written the screenplay. At our request, director K.S. Ravi Kumar and Kushboo readily agreed to do guest roles."
