Mithun upset with Maniratnam

Though the Bahchan Parivaar can’t stop thanking and singing praises of Mani Ratnam, apparently there’s one actor who we hear is sulking in private. And he happens to be veteran actor and ex-superstar Mithun Chakraborty. The reason? Apparently his vital scenes in Guru were ruthlessly chopped off at the editing table by Mani & Co to give more prominence to Abhishek and Aishwarya’s roles.Though Mithun hasn’t voiced his grievances in public, he is said to have spoken to his friends in the industry about the unfair treatment meted out to him. “When he signed the film he was very excited to work with Mani Ratnam and Abhishek as Mithun had worked with his father earlier in films like ‘Agneepath’ and they always shared a great rapport, but he was shocked to see the end result,” says a source close to Mithun.
